Primal Pit Paste Happy Pits Stick - Baking Soda Free
Introducing our amazing sensitive deodorant, Primal Pit Paste Happy Pits Sensitive Stick. Proven and tested on our staff and sensitive-pit friends, this deodorant really works! Our new recipe is handcrafted with organic mango butter, organic cocoa butter, organic beeswax, organic arrowroot powder, magnesium hydroxide, kaolin clay, coriander & sage essential oils with a touch of lavender and vanilla essential oils. This product is hand-crafted to ensure that every stick only contains the finest organic products. NO Aluminum, NO Parabens, NO Toxic Chemicals, NO Fragrances, NO Corn, NO Gluten, NO GMOs and absolutely NO Bad Stuff!!
Available Flavors: Coriander & Sage
Ingredients: Organic Mango Butter, Organic Arrowroot Powder, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Beeswax, Magnesium Hydroxide, Kaolin Clay, Sunflower Oil, Essential Oils: Coriander. Sage, Lavender and Vanilla.
Other: 2.0 Ounces of Happy Pits Primal Pit Paste in each stick. Because the Happy Pits Stick is made with clay, it is more firm than our standard Primal Pit Paste stick. The trick to soften the stick is to hold the open stick against your pit for a few seconds to allow your natural body heat to soften up the Primal Pit Paste to ensure a smoother, more consistent application. 2 or 3 swipes with the stick on each pit should work great. Remember, everyone's body chemistry is unique. See our FAQs for information about pit detox and other help regarding shaving and essential oils.
With all of our ingredients being natural and organic with no additives whatsoever, we recommend best freshness and consistency of this product if used within 18 months (if left unopened) or 12 months after opening. Please choose your product quantities carefully when purchasing.

I love Primal Pit Paste! I have used several of the deodorant sticks and they are all great! This one has no scent - which is nice, but still does the trick.
not strong enough for odor

I am sensitive to baking soda and that's why I ordered the sensitive stick. It does not keep odor away .
Solution for irritation
Posted by Evelyn Hornak on 16th Dec 2016
I started to get skin irritation and itched so I bought Pit Primer. Spread one drop on the area before you apply Pit Paste and that does the trick. I have used 3 sticks so far with success and no irritation. Will continue to use these products.

Not crazy about this. Don't like the smell at all.
i Wish the Sensitive Stick Worked
Posted by Unknown on 9th Nov 2016
I bought 2 sensitive deodorant sticks while they were on sale. I have been using the strong deodorant for a couple of years and it works great but suddenly started irritating my underarms. Unfortunately the sensitive stick doesn't work at all for me. I hope to be able to keep using the strong unscented & lavender scent if I can get the irritation to clear up.
Because we know that the same product is not going to work the same on everyone, we make 3 different strengths of baking soda deodorant (Light, Regular, and Strong), as well as baking soda free sensitive options -- we have something for every body!
If the Strong formula did not work for you, you may simply need our Regular strength (or even Light) formula, with less baking soda. We hope that you will reach out to our team so that we can work with you and get you into something that will work better for your body chemistry and skin type. We are here to help every step of the way!

Not as good as regular
Posted by Rebecca Aislinn Rodgers on 7th Nov 2016
This product is not as good at drying sweat and preventing smell as the regular, but I no longer have rashy itchy sore armpits. This is a GREAT product still, it is still leaps and bounds above the 6 other natural deodorants I've tried, it just doesn't have scent options, just a base "clean" smell and I still sweat a lot, so I have to reapply multiple times, with regular I only reapplied once in the day.
New options (including new flavors!) for our Happy Pits line are in the works, and coming soon! Stay tuned! :)

Works, but hard to wash off
Posted by Unknown on 7th Nov 2016
I am halfway through my Happy Pits tube. There are things I love and things I don't:
First, applying is easy. You have to be careful not to use too much or it will stain white (and possibly leave white marks on your clothing). If you perspire shortly after applying, you will perspire white drops that will roll down your shirt and possibly leave white marks.
I live in the Caribbean, in constant 85 degree weather, and it really gets the job done for most of the day. I use it along the Primal Pit Pump for better performance (I love the Pit Pump more than this deodorant because is refreshing). My only issue is that after 8ish hours of use, then naturally bad odor will begin (as is normal with ANY deodorant on a hot humid day), and then I will want to wash and refresh and re-apply. The thing is, I can't wash it off! It feels greasy/waxy on my skin and pit hair, and even after vigorous scrubbing with soap or shampoo, it will not go away. I made an experiment, and it took me four days of vigorous scrubbing 2 showers a day in order to have my pits completely free! Sometimes you just want deodorant-free pits for a while, specially at night or so, take a break and leave the skin breathing naturally, and this is not an option when using this product.
So I have stopped using it as often because of this and am now using Primal Pit Pump which is not as effective and long-lasting but it feels lighter and fresher.
helped with sensitive skin

I used the one in the tub, and was getting some blemishes afterwards. It could have been the gel on the new razor I bought, or the pit paste is just bought. So I decided when I ran out to try the sensitive formula in the stick form. I wasn't crazy about using my fingers every time or having to always have a Popsicle stick on hand.
Pros: the formula smells good and keeps me fresh
Cons: it's not white, more of a light brown/tan color. It got on my white tank top and looked like I had dirty pits after a day at work. The stick form is also harder to put on. I really wish it were softer - there's seems to be granules throughout, like sand. And when it's difficult to spread, this doesn't help. You're supposed to keep it against your skin to warm it up first.
I think I'll go back to the tub form until another formula for the stick comes out to make application easier.
sensitive skin formula

I ordered this sensitive skin formula and I'm not overly happy with it as compared to the others. Although I am no longer getting the rash on my underarms it doesn't seem to work anywhere near as well as the original.

This is my first natural deodorant. Discovered you guys from Cloudy Apples/Gloom Games on YouTube.
I heard about the pit detox period so I decided to try the Baking soda free deo first.
The first day, my pits still smelled bad but the second day onwards my pits were great. I really love this scent. I do have to apply this twice a day because my pits start stinking after half the day but I don't mind that. I'm happy to be using something toxic free on my pits and the smell is lovely. Didn't like the smell at first because I like more sweet or floral scents but I grew to love this scent.
So far it's been a month since I've started using this. Totally recommend it.

After years of trying to find the perfect deodorant (healthy ingredients, effective, non-irritating) I'm thrilled to have found Happy Pits! It truly works to fight odor and doesn't cause any irritation to my sensitive skin. The clean scent is light and refreshing.
No need to look any further!

When I first decided to try Primal Pit Paste I bought the sampler to see which scent I liked best and of course to see if it really worked. I love coconut everything so that was my first choic, Coconut Lime. I also like Jacked up Jasmine and Orange Creamsicle too. Unfortunately, for me I am sensitive to the baking soda, my pits became raw but I continued to use them because they worked so well. Eventually, my pits became darkened, did that stop me, absolutely not, in hopes eventually it would go away. It didn't but because I really like the product I continued using them until I just about ran out, oh after purchasing the larger Coconut Lime and the Lemonade scents. Finally, I decided to try the sensitive one and within days my pits have lightened up a lot not quite back to its regular color but almost. Even though this one doesn't come in different scents I will stick with it and who knows maybe one day this one will also come in the lovely scents as well.
More Happy Pits flavors are in the works! We are so excited to being more options to our dedicated Happy Pits lovers! :)

Weak and Gritty
Posted by Unknown on 30th Aug 2016
Husband was experiencing the "rash" that many complaine about and so I purchased the serum, spray and this stick for sensitive pits and he hates the stick. It's like rubbing sand on his arm and it has no scent and because it's a lighter formula it has no staying power. If you are a man, don't bother with this stick as you will smell quickly. Use the serum. It works and the spray is great too.
Great customer service!

I experienced body odor breakthrough.

I love this deodorant. It keeps me smelling fresh all day. Plus there is no irritation at all. I do wish there were other scents because this is my new favorite product!

Works good, I have a small irritation periodically, but no real problem with daily use. No underarm odor, I'm happy!
my pits are thanking you

I love it. Finally I found a deodorant that is healthy and works. Your other ones are too strong, kept getting rash. Even pit primer didn't help. This one, does the trick and scent is not bad. Referred several clients and most had to switch to lite. Reg is too strong.
Pits are happy, stink is (mostly) gone
Posted by Sherron on 4th Jul 2016
I first tried regular Pit Paste, but developed a terrible rash that didn't go away. Next, I tried Unscented Regular and Unscented Light, but with both, I developed a rash again. Apparently, I'm very sensitive to baking soda. So, I decided to try Happy Pits.
I sweat A LOT, and I found that the recommended amount just does not work for me to control odor. However, I tried using more and that worked. It took some trial and error to figure out how much I needed to use, but now I know how much and my pits are happy. If I work in the yard or do something else that leaves me extra-sweaty, it doesn't hold out, but I don't reek at all. I don't even notice any stink until I take my clothes off and get a whiff of my pits. And that's fine with me. I don't expect it to withstand extreme sweating. The fact that I don't reek is good enough for me.
I didn't like putting it on at night (and I sweat a lot when I sleep), so I got the Pit Pump for wearing to bed. That seems to do the trick, and then I add Happy Pits in the morning when I get dressed for the day.
I don't really care for the scent, but it's not strong at all. After I get dressed, I don't even smell it.
Didn't work for me
Posted by Claudia Lozano on 24th Jun 2016
I had irritation from the stick a few months ago, so I decided to try Happy Pits and see how that worked for me. The smell isn't the best, but it wasn't bad. This product just didn't work for me. I'd have to apply it every few hours or else I would really stink. On the bright side, I went back to using the regular product and no irritation so far, so maybe I just needed a break from the baking soda.

Goes on smooth and is gentle. I was very sensitive to the regular products with the baking soda in it so this was a welcome alternative.
